Turmeric cultivation
Turmeric is grown on environmentally friendly farms, using regenerative farming practices. Our farmers, experts in organic farming, carefully select the turmeric rhizomes to plant them in rich, well-drained soils. The tropical climate of our growing regions, with its warm temperatures and regular rainfall, is ideal for the development of turmeric.
Manual harvesting
After several months of growth, when the leaves begin to turn yellow, a sign that the rhizomes are ready, the turmeric is harvested by hand. This method allows us to choose only the most mature rhizomes and guarantees optimum product quality. The rhizomes are then carefully washed to remove any impurities.
Boiling and drying
Once harvested, the turmeric rhizomes are boiled to eliminate bacteria and activate the aromatic compounds. After this crucial step, they are dried naturally in the sun or in specific dryers to preserve all their nutritional qualities and aromas. This drying process ensures that the turmeric retains its vibrant color and characteristic flavor.
Grinding turmeric
After complete drying, the turmeric rhizomes are ground into a fine powder. This final step, carried out under strict quality control conditions, produces a pure turmeric powder, rich in curcumin and ready to use in your recipes. The fine grinding ensures homogeneous dissolution in dishes, fully releasing the aromas and benefits of turmeric.
